Lake Water Quality
Lakes Tested for Blue-Green Algae through AHS’ Routine Recreational Water Quality Monitoring Program It would surprise and alarm many Albertan’s to know that AHS only routinely monitors approximately 30 of the 150+ Alberta lakes annually, and the vast majority of Alberta lakes go completely untested by AHS due lack of manpower and budgetary constraints, not a lack of potential health risk to Albertan’s. The list of untested unmonitored lakes includes some of Alberta’s largest recreational lakes (like Buffalo Lake who have a massive 800 site campground proposed for the lake) Another major water concern in Alberta lakes is swimmer’s itch; a long list of lakes with annual swimmer itch complaints by actual users can be found on swimmersitch.ca
FISHING YOUR PASSION If fishing is your passion, you’ll love it here. With an abundance of pike, perch, and pickerel that make Pine Lake their home. You will have fun spending the day on the lake and catching your limit.
DINING AND RELAXING When evening comes, enjoy a great dinner in the restaurant, have a drink with friends in the lounge, or view the sunset on the patio.
